Born and raised in Philadelphia, Alphonso Johnson is a master of both electric and upright bass, as well as the Chapman stick.  Throughout his long and brilliant career, Johnson has recorded and/or performed with Weather Report, the Cobham/Duke band, the Crusaders, Sergio Mendes, Tony Williams, Gregory Hines, Eddie Henderson, Flora Purim, Joe Williams, Quincy Jones, Lee Ritenour, John McLaughlin, Jeffrey Osborne, Sarah Vaughan, Dori Caymmi and many others.  Johnson is currently a faculty member at the Thornton School of Music at USC.

Warwick Artist Divinity Roxx will be on tour throughout Europe in spring 2015.

She is best known for touring and performing with Beyoncé Knowles (2006–2011) as her bassist and Musical Director for "The Beyoncé Experience" and "I Am...World" tours.

Divinity self-released an album titled Ain’t No Other Way in 2003 on CD Baby. The album featured production from will.i.am, DJ Lethal, and Mike Elizondo. Currently, Divinity is preparing her second album, The Roxx Boxx Experience, for an early 2012 release.

It’s been a few weeks, but I’m still on a high (er… a low?) from attending the third annual Warwick Bass Camp and Open Day, September 1-6.  The week-long event is the brainchild of longtime bass buddies Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey, hosted by Warwick’s founder and owner, Hans-Peter Wilfer, and flawlessly administered by Ove Bosch, Head of Bass Camp, along with Warwick’s incredible staff.

The day concludes with the resurrection of Mass Mental. What do mega groups Metallica and Skindred have in common? Mass Mental! The all star, all monster group was founded by Metallica’s Robert Trujillo formerly of Suicidal Tendencies and Skindred singer Clive “Benji” Webbe, formerly of Dub War. Also in the band since the beginning is Warwick Artist Armand Sabal-Lecco whose list of credits includes Stanley Clarke and Sting. In 1999 the band released “How to Write Love Songs”, along with the live album “Live in Tokyo”. Both albums were released exclusively in Japan. Shortly thereafter the band broke up, allowing the band members to return to their main projects. In 2002, Mass Mental reunited briefly with Roy Mayorga playing drums, although no new material resulted. Still, Robert Trujillo never really lost sight of his “baby”. Now Mass Mental has found its way back together and will be performing an exclusive reunion concert at Warwick HQ in Markneukirchen, Germany.

Warwick Signature Artist Robert Trujillo and Warwick Artist Stuart Hamm will be featured in the upcoming issue of Bass Guitar Magazine UK. Robert Trujillo will perform with Mass Mental on the Warwick Open Day 2014 at September 6th in Markneukirchen, Germany. Stuart Hamm will be a professor at the Warwick Bass Camp from August 31st to September 5th.
